Medway Norse wins Wentworth Primary cleaning contract

March 2014

Medway Norse has been awarded the cleaning contract for the 500-pupil Wentworth primary school, in Dartford.

The £48k a year, three year agreement covers the out-of-school-hours cleaning of classrooms, halls, dining areas, other teaching areas, toilets and offices.

“When re-tendering our Building Cleaning contract we wanted to work with a Company who had experience of cleaning schools and understood our needs,” said Val Parrett, Wentworth School Business Manager.

“Medway Norse not only demonstrated their experience in this field, but were also competitively priced. Now that the contract has commenced, we are pleased with the professional and supportive manner in which the transfer has been handled, both in terms of our relationship as customer, and in respect of the staff who have transferred. We look forward to a long and successful working partnership”.

“We are delighted to be working with Wentworth Primary School,” commented Phillip Johnson, Head of Soft Facilities Management at Medway Norse. “This contract marks Medway Norse’s expansion into schools in the South-East. Our ambition is to increase our services to schools, using best practices to promote excellence and focus on raising standards.”

Two cleaning staff previously employed directly by the school, and nine members of the previous cleaning team have transferred to Medway Norse.
